Do you travel?
YES! I’m based in SAN DIEGO, CA and available for travel!
We have photographed weddings and families all over the country (I think Hawaii was probably our FAVE - take me back). Send me a message for a quote for a travel session?
My kids won’t last a full hour,
do you offer a shorter session?
YES, but…
I’m NOT your photographer that is going to make you stand and look straight at the camera, smiling for an hour. I can’t expect my own kids to do that so I wouldn’t make anyone else’s either.
A full hour session allows us to go at the kids pace, to play, snuggle and just have fun. Nothin is rushed, and my heart is that you would truly SAVOR these moments: the way your baby’s hand feels in yours, the way your child loves when you run your fingers through their hair or lightly scratch their back, the way joy overcomes them when you play without distraction or a time limit. During a full session we aren’t trying to rapid fire a handful of groupings into a small time frame.
If a mini session better aligns with your budget, then absolutely do that! I never want someone spending money that is beyond their budget and mini sessions offer a more affordable way for families to still have beautiful images. But, if your reasoning for choosing a mini session is based solely on thinking your kids won’t last more than 15 minutes, then a full session will actually probably be a better pace for your child so we can allow for play, connection, and slowing down those precious moments you want to remember forever.
Mini sessions move VERY fast. I shoot very quickly and I can get a lot in a short period of time and can go as fast as your kids can follow my prompts. The amount I capture is dependent on how quickly your kids can move. While they are mostly ideal for older kids and smaller families, I’m REALLY good at what I do and can make it work for any age.
Do you have location recommendations?
I most definitely do! Location makes a huge difference in how your images will look: the colors, textures, the way the light hits it, etc all contribute to the overall feel and aesthetic of your photos. Some of the my favorite and the best locations (in my opinion) might be a tad longer of a drive, but it is ALWAYS worth the drive. TRUST ME!
I don’t know what to wear! Help!
Just like the location, outfits hugely contribute to how your photos will look. Neutrals are going to edit very different than vibrant colors. Even certain outfits will photograph differently at different locations. My shooting and editing style is organic, nostalgic, and timeless. I love layers, textures, and neutral colors (you can peek at all the photos on my website if you want some direction on what to wear). During our planning, I’m more than happy to help guide and make suggestions for outfits based on where we’re shooting and how you want your photos to FEEL. Clients will usually send photos of their options and I love helping tie it all together.
At the end of the day, wear what you FEEL best in, because how you feel translates to how you look in photos
When do I get my photos back?
Standard turn around time is 4-6 weeks, usually sooner, just depends on the time of year. I do offer RUSH TURNAROUND for a small fee and you’ll get your photos back in
5 business days.
