Just before I began high school, a photographer came to our house to capture some family photos for us because we knew that my sisters time here on earth was limited as cancer took over her body for the second time.

Those photos were so precious to our family. Every single picture of her felt like such a gift. It's how we could look back and remember all the perfect details about her and somehow transport back in time. She passed away the day before my very first day of high school.

I came to deeply love preserving memories that could live on forever. I took a film class in high school and the rest is history.

This work feels so sacred to me, and it is an immense honor to me to step into your sacred space.

Your kids will never be this little again. They change so fast. Don't let getting hung up on details and outfits hold you back from capturing memories. Book the shoot. Take the photos. You will never regret having moments frozen with your family. I've never once said "gosh I wish I didn't have these photos with my kids" but I have several times regretted not taking photos when there was an opportunity.
