I’m KEARY,
a San Diego based photographer.

I’ve been photographing families and love stories for over 15 years!

I’m a WIFE and a homeschool MOM to four,
two born in our hearts on the other side of the world, and two born at home.

Pancreas for 2 (my daughter and I were diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes two months and 9000 miles apart)
Podcast and audiobook junkie (always at 2x speed)
Love living near the beach AND the mountains - I’m not sure which I love more
Creating recipes and DIY-ing home projects that I start with a tape measure and a “Hey babe, I had an idea…" that my gracious husband finishes for me.

Yes, I’ll make sure you get a “grandma shot”, you know, the one that grandma loves to put on her fridge with everyone smiling at the camera. But we’ll spend the majority of your session playing, exploring, and having fun because it’s those in between moments that you never want to forget…like the way your babies cheeks feel against your lips when you kiss them, or the way the light hits their curly hair, or the feeling of your loved ones hands in yours.

Keary wasn’t just a photographer at my home birth, she was a warm, calming and humble presence, offering me words of encouragement, a confident smile, a sip of something to drink. She captured the birth of our fourth baby so beautifully, telling the story of the wee hours of the morning, the labor to bring our boy earthside, the moment we woke up the big brothers to bear witness. It is a treasure to be able to relive through images the emotion, the hard work and the insurmountable joy of meeting our precious baby for the first time. I will cherish these photographs forever.

I just can’t tell you how much I debated doing this session & if it was “necessary”… blah blah blah. & here you are, blowing it completely out of the water, making me cry & yet AGAIN giving me pictures I’m going to treasure my whole entire life!! 10000% worth it, no doubt about it.
